【初一暑假英语作文】The summer vacation is coming. It's the time when I can relax and have fun after a busy school term. This year, I plan to spend my summer in a more meaningful way.

First of all, I want to improve my English. I know that learning a language needs practice every day. So I will read some English books and watch English movies. I also hope to write a few short stories in English. I think this will help me learn new words and grammar better.

In addition, I want to travel with my family. My parents said we will go to Hangzhou for a few days. I'm very excited because I've heard that it's a beautiful city with many historical places. I hope I can take some photos and share them with my friends.

During the summer, I will also spend some time helping my younger brother with his homework. Although he is only five years old, he is very smart. I enjoy teaching him and it makes me feel happy.

I also plan to do some sports every day, like swimming and playing basketball. Exercise is good for my health and it helps me stay energetic.

Although the summer is short, I want to make the most of it. I believe that if I work hard and have fun at the same time, I will have a wonderful vacation.
