Ladies and gentlemen,
Today, I would like to share with you a short story that has always stayed with me. It is about a little boy named Tim.
Tim was a curious child who loved exploring the world around him. One day, while walking home from school, he noticed an old man sitting on a park bench, feeding birds. The man seemed lonely, but Tim didn’t know how to approach him.
Feeling brave, Tim walked up and said, “Hello! What are you doing?”
The old man smiled and replied, “I’m feeding the birds. They need someone to care for them.”
Tim thought about this for a moment and then asked, “Why do they need care? Don’t they just fly away?”
The old man laughed softly and explained, “Yes, they can fly away, but they often come back because they know they will be fed. Sometimes, it’s not just about giving food; it’s about showing kindness.”
Tim nodded thoughtfully. From that day on, he began visiting the park every afternoon to help the old man feed the birds. Over time, the two became friends. The old man taught Tim many things—about patience, compassion, and the beauty of small acts of kindness.
This simple story reminds us that even the smallest actions can make a big difference in someone’s life. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or simply smiling at a stranger, we all have the power to bring joy and warmth into the world.
Thank you for listening.
